Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Faculty of Pre-Higher Education was established in 2011 on the basis of the previous preparatory faculty for foreign citizens, which was opened in 1985. From the establishment of the faculty until today, from more than 100 countries of the world: USA, Germany, England, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Iran, Afghanistan, Philippines, People's Republic of China, Yemen, Jordan, Egypt, Singapore, Mongolia , more than 7000 foreigners from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Latvia, Kyrgyzstan received education. Today, the faculty includes two departments that regularly implements the process of training future students.

Education in compulsory and profile subjects in accordance with the State educational standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan and adaptation to the public environment of Kazakhstan.
Purpose - to provide in the learning process the formation of functional knowledge and skills, skills of planning, analysis and processing, interpretation, systematization, work on the algorithm, research, practical and experimental skills, the ability to evaluate and formulate conclusions; development of scientific, design and spatial thinking; implementation of professional orientation of students in the direction of natural sciences.
The purpose of teaching the chemical-biological direction is to deepen students' knowledge about the diversity of living organisms, the evolution of the environment, the legality and laws of natural phenomena; the development of practical skills of observation, differentiation, systematization, comparison, analysis, evaluation of substances and information about objects; the importance of the diversity of chemicals and their transformation into another substance, the use of creative and critical thinking in the teaching process, the development of practical and experimental skills on a large scale; focus on expanding students' understanding of knowledge about the nature of chemical phenomena.
Purpose- to provide in-depth study of humanitarian disciplines; including: the ability to understand historical events, the activities of individuals, forms of government in the state and evaluate them in real terms; the study of the norms of life in a democratic and economic space, the ability to navigate the common problems of world and domestic culture, to have a national consciousness, know the main stages of the development of human civilization. To this end, the socio-humanitarian direction with special attention to literature, languages, history, social studies, art, culture opens the way to the profile and professional orientation of students focused on future or practical activities.
Training of qualified and competitive mid-level specialists capable of developing deposit, credit operations and bank operational services.
Educational Programs
According to the university's academic policy, if a student (auditor) leaves the country without the university's visa and permission, they will be expelled from the university, and their study visa will be canceled.
If there is a need to return to your home country (abroad) during the academic term, you must write a request for exemption from classes (indicating the period of absence) addressed to the dean of the faculty. After the faculty dean signs the request, it should be submitted to the visa support center, following a written request to the head of the university's internationalization and recruitment office.
After submitting the documents to the university's visa support department, the visa support will be provided within 5 to 30 working days, in accordance with the migration legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To obtain a student visa (C9) for the Republic of Kazakhstan, you must be admitted to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University! The documents required to receive an invitation are: a passport, a completed application form, and payment of the state fee (BAJ), which is 0.5 MCI (approximately 2500 tenge).
