Final Conference on the Teaching Practice of 4th-Year Students (Russian as a Foreign Language)

On March 17, 2026, a final conference on the teaching practice of 4th-year students of the educational program “Russian as a Foreign Language” was held at the Center for Russian Language and Culture of the Faculty of Philology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the event was to summarize the results of students’ professional training, analyze the competencies they had acquired, and exchange the experience gained during their teaching practice.

As part of the conference, students presented reports on their work, demonstrated their developed professional skills, and discussed актуальные issues of teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of intercultural communication.

Special attention was given to the cultural and educational component of the practice. In this regard, students visited the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where they became acquainted with the resources of one of the country’s largest scientific and cultural centers.

An additional element of the program was the screening of the feature film Dersu Uzala, which contributed to the development of students’ linguocultural competence and led to further discussion of issues related to intercultural interaction.

The conference demonstrated a high level of training of future specialists and their readiness for professional activity in the field of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
