LIST OF STATE EDUCATIONAL GRANT RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has officially published the list of state educational grant recipients for the 2025–2026 academic year.
As a result of the national competition, 4535 applicants were awarded grants to study at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
This year, approximately 113,000 applications were submitted. The most in-demand fields were:
- Pedagogical sciences,
- Engineering, manufacturing, and construction,
- Information and communication technologies.
More than 77,000 state grants were allocated:
- 60% for technical specializations,
- 20% for pedagogical programs,
- 20% for other fields based on labor market needs.
Grants are awarded based on the results of the Unified National Testing (UNT). Each applicant could choose up to four universities and four academic programs.
Social quota categories were also considered, in accordance with the Law "On Education": orphans, children with disabilities, children from large or single-parent families, and children raised in families with a child with a disability.
