Born in 1963 in Almaty. In 1985, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mathematics of the S.M. Kirov Kazakh State University. From 1985 to 1992, he worked at the Faculty of Mathematics of Kazakh State University (trainee teacher, senior scientific engineer, senior lecturer). In 1992-1993 – head of the department of mathematical economics at the Kazakh Institute of Chemical Technology. In 1995-1996 – vice-rector, 1996-2005 – professor at South Kazakhstan State University. In 2006-2009 – professor at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi.
In 1989, he defended his candidate’s thesis “On the adjoint Darboux problem”, specialty 01.01.02 – differential equations.
In 1993, he defended his doctoral dissertation “Boundary-value problems in domains with deviations from the characteristic for equations of hyperbolic and mixed types of second order”, specialty 01.01.02 – differential equations.
Since 2007 – associate professor in the specialty "Mathematics", since 2010 – professor in the specialty "Mathematics".
In 2012, he was elected a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, majoring in Mathematics.
Main areas of research:
- boundary value problems for differential equations of hyperbolic, parabolic and elliptic types;
- boundary value problems for differential equations of mixed type;
- inverse problems of mathematical physics;
- spectral problems for partial differential equations;
- spectral properties of ordinary differential operators on an interval;
- questions of the basis property of a system of elements in a Hilbert space.
Winner of the “Best University Teacher” grant in 2008.
In 2013, he was awarded the Badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “For merits in the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan”
Laureate of the Prize of the Youth Union of Kazakhstan in the field of science and technology for 1993.
Laureate of the Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after K.I. Satpayev for the best scientific research in the field of natural sciences in 2015 – for a series of works “On the problem of the basis property of root vectors of non-self-adjoint differential operators.”
State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan 2020 in the field of science and technology named after al-Farabi for a series of works on the topic “Toward the theory of nonlocal differential operators.”
