Kaznu, as the leading educational institution in the country, actively participates in the implementation of the goals of Sustainable Development. In particular, the 11th direction – ensuring transparency, security, vitality and environmental sustainability of cities and towns – is one of the most important tasks on the University's agenda.

In this direction, the Department of Customs, Finance and environmental law of the Faculty of Law successfully carried out the renovation of the student house. The main work was aimed at updating the hall, corridor, two reading rooms and two dining rooms on the first and seventh floors of the student house №18.

During the renovation work, six new bookshelves, reading tables, one sofa and four comfortable chairs were installed. These furniture are designed to facilitate the learning process of students and create a comfortable environment. Nine paintings depicting the nature of Kazakhstan, ten photographs describing the events organized by the advisors of the Department, two hours, modern curtains and houseplants were exhibited in the hall and reading room. A cowroline was laid in the reading room, and a dispenser was installed to provide students with clean drinking water. Additional legal literature and literary books were purchased, and students ' access to knowledge was expanded.

The updated reading rooms will help students to spend their free time and become a convenient platform for learning. The main goal of the renovation work is to give students who are far from their native homes a sense of warmth, create a comfortable environment and improve their student life. Special attention was paid to every detail, taking into account the social conditions of students.

This project was implemented with the support of active graduates of the faculty. Their sponsorship funding made it possible to improve the material and technical base of the University. Such steps demonstrate the great respect and dedication of university graduates to the University.
