Educational program
To provide professional training for graduates capable of carrying out the main types of engineering activities related to the technology of production, use and operation of materials, with modeling and design in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronic devices and micro- and nanoelectronic devices.
ON1 Apply interdisciplinary knowledge (including in a foreign language) for the purpose of interpersonal, academic, professional, and intercultural interaction, addressing current issues in materials science and engineering activities.
ON2 Conduct materials science activities using fundamental laws and principles of physics, chemistry, mathematics, material analysis, and technologies of new materials, including nanotechnology.
ON3 Systematically generalize scientific information to obtain new facts, scientific achievements, problem-solving methods, and ideas in the field of materials science and nanotechnology, as well as the production and study of the properties of modern materials and structures, through continuous self-development.
ON4 Explain the principles and specifics of the functional purpose of equipment and devices in the studied field of production and/or research, and their capabilities (automation, digitalization).
ON5 Design technological processes and develop technological documentation, perform calculations and construction of parts.
ON6 Forecast and evaluate the quality of (developed and/or produced) products using modeling and mathematical analysis methods to optimize them in accordance with the type of product obtained.
ON7 Use conventional and new technological processes, operations, research, equipment in the context of regulatory and methodological materials for technological production profiles.
ON8 Create modern high-performance materials and coatings, justifying the choice of innovative production methods to optimize engineering activities in materials science.
ON9 Analyze the degree of impact of machinery, equipment, technological processes, and radiation on the environment, and recognize the need for ecological and economic background for the use of renewable energy resources.
ON10 Plan and conduct research on the chemical and phase composition, structure of materials, and identify their characteristics depending on the methods and conditions of production, including the influence of external factors.
ON11 Select materials and structures (including their complex combinations) for the development of high-speed circuits, devices, taking into account their parameters, operating conditions, reliability, and durability.
ON12 Demonstrate the rational use of financial, legal and legislative instruments in the service sector, taking into account the specifics of the work of the fundamentals of planning the implementation of commercialization.
