DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS AND ASTROPHYSICS
The Department of Electronics and Astrophysics trains high-level specialists who meet modern requirements in the fields of radio engineering, electronics, telecommunications, industrial electronics and astronomy. Students receive not only theoretical knowledge, but also key skills that allow them to flexibly adapt to rapidly changing socio-economic conditions and apply their knowledge to develop new competitive products and services.. The educational process is supported by highly qualified teachers with extensive scientific, pedagogical and industrial experience, including doctors and candidates of science, professors, associate professors, PhD and masters. Leading scientists from our country and abroad are also involved in the training, which creates a unique atmosphere for students. Additionally, the department actively collaborates with industry and scientific institutions, which allows students to participate in real projects and research, expanding their horizons and strengthening their practical skills. This approach ensures the training of not only theoretically prepared, but also practically oriented specialists, ready for the challenges of the modern world.

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Electronics and Astrophysics was organized as a result of the division of the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics in 2024. Historically, the Department of Electronics and Astrophysics was established in 2000 as the Department of Electronics and Nonlinear Physics. The founder and first head of the department was Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Z. Zh. Zhanabaev. In 2011, due to restructuring, the Department of Electronics and Nonlinear Physics merged with the Department of Solid State Physics and Materials Science, after which it was renamed the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics.
