As part of the implementation of educational, cultural, and civic engagement activities at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, third-year students of the “Finance” educational program at the Higher School of Economics and Business participated in an organized cinema visit featuring the Kazakh drama “37”. The event was carried out under the guidance of the group curator, A.S. Kyzdarbekova.
The film addresses important social issues, including human destinies, moral choices, family values, social vulnerability, and questions of justice. The screening served as a basis for meaningful discussion, contributing to the development of students’ critical thinking and social analysis skills.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4, “Quality Education,” which contributes to the expansion of students’ cultural and social perspectives; and SDG 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” which emphasizes the importance of social processes, cultural environments, and community initiatives in societal development.
Such events play a vital role in fostering civic responsibility, ethical values, and a broad worldview among students.
