From December 1 to 5, 2025, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an intensive laboratory training course on biochemical analysis methods. The event was aimed at supporting the partnership with the Daryn Research and Practical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the principles of continuous learning and competence development among talented young people, and contributed to expanding open access to high-quality practice-oriented education for gifted schoolchildren.

The bootcamp on laboratory analysis methods was held in collaboration with the Daryn Research and Production Center and the Galaxy International School.

The following activities were carried out as part of the program:

- a short lecture (30 minutes) was given to schoolchildren: explanation of safety requirements in laboratory practice, algorithm for working with instruments and equipment, signing of instruction sheets;

- an introductory visit to various laboratories of the Department of Biotechnology was organized;

- Practical laboratory training was organized by A.A. Meldébekova, Ph.D., a lecturer at the Department of Biotechnology, on methods of biochemical analysis of various biological samples, calculations, interpretation, and presentation of the students' results.

The event was attended by:

-    teachers: 1 team leader from the Daryn Regional Scientific and Practical Center,

-    external participants: 9 schoolchildren in grades 10 and 11.

The training made a significant contribution to promoting the principles of continuous learning and competence development among talented young people.
