The Lab Immersive Journalism and New Media laboratory was organized at KazNU (supervisors of professors Ibraev G.Zh. and Balakayev G.T.). On March 2, 2020, with the support of the international organization IWPR, a training was held on the laboratory “Digital Immersive Journalism and Media Literacy” in which we, undergraduates and doctoral students of the 1st year of the Faculty of Information Technology, took an active part. The training was conducted by a participant in many international pieces of training, professor of the journalism faculty, doctor of political sciences G. Ibraeva.
The first part presented the history of immersive journalism and news stories of famous journalists. During the training, Vivo equipment, helmets, and trackers were presented.
The second part of the training was held in a playful form after a coffee break. ⠀
In general, the training was very interesting, there was a lot of useful information and experience, and projects are currently being developed under the direction of Professor G. T. Balakayeva on the subject of "software development technology." The information was informative, everything was understandable and constructive, correctly conducting the training process, the high competence of the teacher was manifested.
