Report on ”Korean Diaspora in Kazakhstan”He was presented as part of a research project on the Korean diaspora abroad. The cooperation of the Faculty of Oriental Studies with the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Tokyo was started in 2018. During this period, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by more than 50 students during the annual winter schools initiated by the Department of the Far East. Cooperation in the framework of scientific research is based on the projects of the Japanese Foundation in 2018-2019 on migration issues, as well as the study of foreign Koreans in 2020-2023. This year, a new partner - the Faculty of International Relations of the Higher School of Ritsumeikan University together with the Faculty of Oriental Studies is conducting a joint study. During the working visit, interviews were conducted with representatives of ethnic Koreans in Japan, as well as employees of Korean organizations, schools and universities in Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo.
