KAZNU SIGNS A MEMORANDUM WITH SAINT PETERSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Saint Petersburg State University of Economics signed a memorandum of cooperation. During a working visit to St. Petersburg the Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev visited St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON).

During the official meeting of Zhanseit Kanseitovich with the Rector of St. Petersburg State University Igor A. Maksimtsev, a constructive dialogue and discussion of the prospects for cooperation between the two universities took place.

Igor Anatolyevich Maksimtsev told the guests about St. Petersburg State University of Economics, which was ranked 37th in the RAEX-100 Ranking of the best universities in Russia. The university has 12 faculties, 32 scientific schools, 11 dissertation councils, 8 research centers, 10 laboratories. UNECON has founded seven scientific peer-reviewed journals that have been included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

The head of KazNU spoke about the cooperation of KazNU with Russian universities in the field of science and higher education and expressed interest in strengthening partnership with St. Petersburg State University of Economics.

At the end of the meeting, a ceremony of signing a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding and strengthening ties between KazNU and UNECON on academic mobility, double degree and research programs was held.
