A new monograph on Turkology has been published at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

The scientific and theoretical seminar "The Turkic Echo in the World Epic Culture," dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Turkologist and translator Kairat Zhanabayev was held at the Research Institute of Turkology and Altaic Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The event was attended by university management, the Director of the Research Institute of Turkology and Altai Studies, Professor Nursultan Shaimerdenova, intellectuals, colleagues of Kairat Zhanabayev, foreign scientists, university faculty, and students.

During the seminar, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev congratulated the hero of the day.

Outstanding scientist Kairat Zhanabayev is the author of many scientific works, including: "The poetic system of Zhyrau's works of the XV-XVIII centuries", "The primary foundations of literary translation", "Turkic myth, traditions and rituals in the epic", etc.

Within the framework of the seminar, a presentation of the monograph by Kairat Zhanabayev "Poetic text in traditions and rituals: basics, types, functions of origin" was held. The book comprehensively analyzes the ancient Turkic epic, compared with the epics of other ancient peoples. The author also sought to highlight the unique features of these epics, which are considered together with the theories of American scientists Perry and Lord.

The event was attended by foreign scientists from Germany (Soccoro), Spain (K.Lamberti), Peru (p.David) and others. Friends and colleagues of Kairat Janabayev also made a report and shared their memories.

At the end of the meeting, the hero of the day thanked the audience and thanked them.
