STUDYING THE HERITAGE OF ABAY IS DEEPENING THE KAZNU

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international conference "Creative Heritage and Teachings of Abai Kunanbayuly", dedicated to the Day of Abai. The meeting was organized by the Research Institute of Abay at KazNU.

The purpose of the conference is to consider the creative heritage and teachings of the great Kazakh poet Abai from the point of view of modern science.

Today, KazNU hosts many events on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Within the framework of TDM, many scientific and educational projects of the country's leading university are being implemented, issues of improving the quality of education, peace, justice and effective institutions, and partnerships for sustainable development are comprehensively covered.

The event was attended by the leadership of the university, scientists from universities and research institutes, researchers, historians, Abay scholars and the teaching staff of the university.

The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by a member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of KazNU named after al-Farabi Zhamila Aitzhanova.

“Abay is a unique personality in the history of the nation. The thoughts of the great philosopher today have not lost their relevance. Abay played a big role not only in literature, but also in the development of the nation as a whole. Our common task is to popularize the teachings and heritage of Abay Kunanbayuly among the younger generation. In this context, today's meeting is of great importance,” the Vice-Rector said.

In turn, the director of the Abay Research Institute, Professor Zhangara Dadebayuly spoke.

The conference dedicated to Abay Kunanbayuly is held for the fourth time this year and has become a good tradition. We all need to know Abai, remember his instructive words, winged thoughts,” said Zhangara Dadebayuly.

Also during the conference, presentations were made by the leading researcher of the Abai Research Institute, Doctor of Philology Danday Iskakuly, laureate of the International Literary Prize "Alash", Professor Kanseit Abdezuly, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Layla Musaly and others.

Within the framework of the event, issues of creativity and views on the upbringing of the younger generation of Abai, the specifics of his heritage, the differentiation of the main provisions of Abai's teaching, and the place of his teaching in modern spirituality were discussed.
