KazNU students completed an internship at Shenzhen University

As part of international cooperation with universities in China, 21 students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University successfully completed their internship at the prestigious summer school at the School of Medicine at Shenzhen University.

Students selected to participate in this internship had the opportunity to immerse themselves in an intensive educational environment and become familiar with cutting-edge scientific research in the field of biomedical engineering.

The program included courses of lectures by eminent professors from Shenzhen University who specialize in important areas of medical science.

One of the main topics covered during the internship was "Genetic instability and diseases". Professors Shinzhi Xu and Shunichi Takeda shared their knowledge and experience in this field of molecular biology and genetic engineering. Another important aspect covered by the internship was aging and metabolic diseases. Professors Baohua Liu and Jie Liu revealed to the students the current trends and achievements in this field of medicine.

Professor Xinchun Chen and Associate Professor Xue Liu explained to the students the mechanisms of interaction of the immune system with infections and the importance of an effective immune response. Acquaintance with nanomedicine became an integral part of the internship. In addition to lectures, students also had the opportunity to visit the laboratories at the Shenzhen University School of Medicine and get hands-on experience with advanced technologies.

Having completed the internship as part of the summer school, the students of Al-Farabi KazNU received valuable experience and knowledge. This internship has become not only an opportunity for in-depth training, but also a means of expanding horizons and strengthening international ties in the field of biomedical engineering between Kazakhstan and China.

As part of the summer school, the head of the Department of Politics and Organization in Medicine, Gulnar Kapanova, and the head of the Department of Biotechnology, Aida Kistaubayeva, successfully exchanged experience and knowledge.

During their stay at Shenzhen University, KazNU faculty not only got acquainted with cutting-edge research and innovations in the field of medicine and biotechnology, but also established strong professional ties with researchers and professors of this university.

Continued scientific cooperation between KazNU and Shenzhen University promises to bring new perspectives and achievements. This is an important step in the development of the scientific potential of both universities and a contribution to the future of medical and biotechnological science.
