Coverage of the topic of climate change and sustainable development

The course "Coverage of the topic of climate change and sustainable development".explains what climate change is and what its consequences are.  Explains the importance of the role of the media in covering the issue of climate change. The course is designed for journalists, bloggers, and media workers to competently convey information about the client's change to the public.

The course consists of 4 modules that must be mastered within 8 weeks. The MOOC includes 8 video lectures with test and additional tasks after each. The course includes two creative projects evaluated by students (milestone and final control).

The climate is changing, and it's happening right now. The potential impacts of climate change are diverse and extensive. If appropriate measures are not taken, humanity may be on the verge of disaster. Therefore, the prevention of these consequences is an important topic on today's media agenda.

Each of us can help solve the problem of climate change by reducing carbon emissions in everyday life. Many do not realize the seriousness of the problem, and perhaps raising awareness will lead to effective action.

Mass media and journalists can help to implement climate change limitation and mitigation, adaptation and sustainable development at all levels, from global to local.
