30.10.2023 As part of the implementation of the UN Goal 13 "Combating Climate Change", on October 24, 2023, the Faculty of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, represented by moderator Smagulova S.K., as well as with the active participation of the entire student community of the YUP 208 group, held a Round Table a table on the topic "Review and development of international environmental law". The speakers were active students Tastanbekov Dastan and Nurtas Aruzhan. Very important topics were touched upon about temperature changes, sea level rise, periods of abnormal heat in winter or cold in summer, heat waves, weekly torrential rains, droughts and fires, floods, the disappearance of plant and animal species not only in Kazakhstan but also in other countries. Since climate change has become one of the most serious environmental problems around the world, as well as in order to implement the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13, requiring urgent measures to combat climate change and its consequences, Speaker Dastan Tastanbekov prepared a presentation on international environmental law. At the end, a discussion was held by moderator Smagulova S.K.
