Ensuring the safety of persons involved in criminal proceedings

On 15.12. 2023 at 13:00, in Lecture Hall No. 4 within the framework of UN SDG 16, a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Mukhamadieva G.N. held a meeting with students of the Faculty of Law on the topic: "Ensuring the safety of persons involved in criminal proceedings", which analyzed the concept of "security" of participants in the criminal process and considered measures to improve the security system of participants in the criminal process. It is concluded that the security of participants in criminal proceedings is a set of measures to protect the rights, as well as legitimate interests expressed in the life, health and property interests of participants in criminal proceedings as a result of the application by authorized bodies and officials of the system of legal and other means of protection against unlawful encroachments in connection with their participation in criminal proceedings, who have caused a threat to their safety. Currently, the problem of the effectiveness of the application of these measures and respect for the rights of participants in criminal procedural activities is quite acute, which determines the relevance of the topic of the event.
