10 best young scientists of KazNU

About 350 young scientists work at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 10 young scientists recognized as the best in science in 2023:

1. Serik Khokhlov - PhD, Associate Professor. The young scientist opened the laboratory "Digital Analysis in Astrophysics" on the basis of the Department of Solid State Physics and Nonlinear Physics, Faculty of Physics and Technology, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The main research directions of the laboratory are the study of evolution, determination of the main physical regularities, parameters of the dense double system, as well as interpretation of the nature of the observed phenomena using methods of computer modeling of light curves, analysis of the formation of objects around double stars. The main topic of his research interests is the study of double stars, including a wide class of cataclysmic variables, the study of Ve and B[e] phenomena stars.

2. Kuanysh Tastambek - Senior Lecturer of the Department of Fundamental Medicine, Director of the Research Institute of Environmental Problems. Scientific direction - bioenergetics, environmental monitoring, ecology of microorganisms, biofertilizer, environmental microbiology.

3. Madina Tursymbaeva - senior lecturer of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, researcher. The young scientist is a scholarship holder of the program "Bolashak" in 2012. Today Madina Tursymbaeva conducts fundamental work on the study of air quality, atmospheric pollution, height of the atmospheric boundary layer and air mass trajectories.

4. Kanagat Kishibaev is a leading researcher at the Center for Physico-Chemical Research and Analysis Methods. The young scientist is currently the author of about 60 scientific articles. Laureate of the State Scientific Scholarship for Talented Young Scientists 2022-23. Holder of the title "Best Young Scientist" of Al-Farabi KazNU in 2023. Studied under the USHOS program at BelGU (Belgorod, Russia) in 2011, in 2013-15 at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Lugo, Spain). Research area: chemical technology, activated carbons, sorption, analytical chemistry, supercritical CO2 extraction, production of electrodes and study of their characteristics.

5. Araylym Esenbekova is a senior lecturer of the Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience. She started her activity in the educational institution in 2018. The winner of grants under the scientific internship program "500 scientists". In 2023 she became the best young scientist of KazNU. Area of research: problems of biomedicine, human and animal physiology, molecular biology, microRNA oxidative stress, issues of effective treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in Kazakhstan.

6. Askat Kudaibergenov - researcher of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, senior lecturer. Research area: nonlinear mechanics of deformable media, modeling of applied problems of nonlinear dynamic systems, analysis of their stability, asymptotic solution of wave dynamics problems in elastic media under different loading conditions. In 2013 he was awarded the diploma of the ² degree at the international scientific conference of students and young scientists "World of Science". One of the best young scientists of KazNU.

7. Zhazira Supieva - acting assistant professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry. She was awarded "Kurmet gramotasy" of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in honor of the Day of the Republic (2023). At present he is the head of the scientific project of grant financing on the theme "Understanding of processes of interphase interaction of carbon and iodine for fast accumulation of energy". Best young scientist of KazNU. Scientific direction electrochemistry, nanotechnology and nanomaterials, carbon materials, water purification.

8. Asan Abdrakhmanov - senior lecturer of the Department of plasma physics, nanotechnology and computer physics. The young scientist began his labor activity in 2015 as a junior researcher in the institutes of KazNU. In 2021 he became the owner of the state scholarship for young talented scientists. 2016-20 took the prize 1st place in the republican annual competition of student scientific works.  Asan Abdrakhmanov is engaged in the study of plasma physics, nanotechnology and new materials, plasma technologies.

9. Aizhan Talipova is a researcher, senior lecturer of the Department of Biotechnology. She has been successfully working at the university since 2014. Area of expertise, scientific directions: design of biocomposite materials. Aizhan Talipova became the "Best Young Scientist" of KazNU in 2023.

10. Aigerim Tazhen - Deputy Head of Department plasma physics, nanotechnology and computer physics on scientific and innovative work and international relations, Senior Lecturer. In 2017 she was recognized as the best young scientist of physics and technology cluster, and in 2023 "Best Young Scientist" of KazNU. Research area: plasma physics, physics of plasma gas pedals, fusion power engineering, plasma diagnostics, materials science, dust plasma.
