The Scientific and Practical Center for Inclusive Environment has been  continuing a series of socio-psychological trainings for students, including students with special education needs, in the new semester.

On February 8, a training was held on the topic “Why do we need to know  our emotional intelligence?” The event brought together 26 students of  their  First-Third years of study. The following faculties were represented: Information Technology, Geography and Environmental Management, Biology and Biotechnology, Philology, Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Medicine and Health Care, Philosophy and Political Science, International Relations.

As always, the training took place at the Keremet building. As previously reported, the general theme of the trainings is “Inclusion - the main agenda for sustainable development in the modern world”, united by the triune task of “diversity-equality-inclusion”.

Students participating in the training took part in a discussion of why emotions play a much larger role in achieving success in the family and at work than is commonly believed.

Moreover, the participants considered the questions: What is “emotional intelligence”? Can it be measured? How does “ordinary” intelligence IQ differ from emotional intelligence EQ” and why do the owners of the second often found their place in the sun than the owners of the first? How to learn to cope with despondency, anger, temper, depression and become more successful?
