Zhanna Shoraevna Kuanysheva (Zhanna Khudaibergenova) is a Soviet and Kazakh actress.
Zhanna Kuanysheva was born on April 4, 1958 in Alma-Ata, Kazakh SSR. She studied at school No. 54. Since 1981, she has been a member of the USSR Union of Cinematographers. In 1983, she graduated from the Philological Faculty of the Kirov State University.
Since 1975, she began acting in films of the Kazakhfilm film studio. In the film "The Parable of Love" - a story about the high feeling of two lovers - she played Alma, who met her first love. In the same 1975, the drama "Keep Your Star" directed by Sharip Beisembayev was released, where she played the role of Saltanat. In 1976, at the All-Union Frunze Film Festival, she received the award for "Best Actress" for her work in the film "Keep Your Star".
The role of Zaira in the 1982 lyrical comedy "Melon" directed by Viktor Pusurmanov based on the story of the same name by Gabit Musrepov became interesting. Later she played notable roles in the films "Stepfather" (Aliya), "Fear, enemy, the ninth son" (Kunkey), "Fly, Crane" (Assel).
In the 2000s, she began acting frequently in Kazakh films and TV series. In 2001, she was the winner of the nomination "Actress of the Year" of the first National festival-competition "Person of the Year - Choice of the Year" Altyn Adam. She was awarded the Orders of Kurmet (2001) and Parasat (2008).
