Dusmatova Gulnar Abdulayevna is a film actress, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Kazakhstan.
She was born on November 5, 1964 in Alma-Ata. She graduated from the Philological Faculty of the Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov in 1989.
She was in the cinema since 12 years old. Her debut was the role of young Aigerim in Abdul Karsakbayev's film "Chase in the Steppe" (1979).
In 1982, Gulnara was invited to work as an announcer. Subsequently, Gulnara worked a lot on television, was a presenter, starred in various television projects.
In parallel, Gulnara starred in films. Since 1985, G. Dusmatova has been a full–time actress at the Kazakhfilm Film Studio named after Sh. Aimanov. Over thirty years of creative activity, she starred in more than 20 films, brilliantly played in the first Kazakh TV series "Crossroads" and "Locust".
Many other films featuring the actress are winners of the most prestigious international film festivals.
In 1996, the play "Miss Julie" by Strindberg was released by the studio "Theatrical Engagement", where Gulnara played the main role. It became an event in the theatrical life of Kazakhstan.
Gulnara Dusmatova is not only a popular film actress, but also a recognized presenter of film festivals, grandiose shows, government events, presentations, performances. So she was the permanent presenter of the international music festival "Asia dauysy".
Gulnara Dusmatova has another talent – vocal. She successfully performs at music festivals and concerts. It was especially filled with the audience for performances at the retro festivals "Alma-Ata - my love", "Karaganda – the city of my youth".
Since 2009, Gulnara Dusmatova has been the host of the television program "Cinema Territory" (produced by Kazakhfilm Film Studio and Khabar Agency).
According to a survey conducted by the sociological group of the festival-competition "Choice of the Year in Kazakhstan", Gulnara Dusmatova was recognized as the "Actress of the Year" in 2000.
The recognition of Gulnara Dusmatova's cinematic achievements was evidenced by her invitation to become a member of the main jury of the 31st Moscow Film Festival.

PRIZES AND AWARDS
For her role in the film "The Human Factor", G. Dusmatova was awarded the Main Prize for the best actress at the All-Union Film Festival in Minsk in 1985.
