The production of ferromanganese from the ores of the Ushkatyn deposit and Kazakh coals has begun at the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant in Russia, production refined grades of ferrochrome – at the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant.

The result of innovative activity was the creation of :

- Production of high-quality radiogenic stable isotope osmium-187, which made it possible to bring Kazakhstan into the top three leading countries in the production of stable isotopes;

- Pilot industrial installations for the production of : rhenium and the isotope osmium-187 during the processing of lead cakes ; corrosion-resistant composites from microspheres formed during the combustion of coal ; silicon carbon composite, low aluminum ferrosilicon based on multi-tonnage waste from rice production.

- Unique comprehensive alloy “ Kazakhstan for deoxidation, alloying and modification of steel, patented in many countries ( USA, European Union, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Iran, etc.). After successful testing andalloy at the steelmaking plants of the world's largest companies (ThyssenKrupp, POSCO, Colacogly, BaoSteel, Kobe Steel, Nippon Steel ) projects have been developed and are at the implementation stage for the creation of large-scale production facilities on different continents.

- Production of low -ash special coke for ferroalloy and phosphorus enterprises, production of pure crystalline silicon based on developed technology and production of highly reactive carbon reducing agents of a new generation.

- Domestic refractory materials of a wide range, mastered on an industrial scale at ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC, TNK Kazchrome JSC, Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Kazzinc LLP.

a modernized KIVCET installation were put into operation (2013-2014) and reached their design capacity (2018-2019). Portovesme in Italy on the basis of licensing agreements for the use of the modernized KIVCET process and the corresponding unit for the processing of low-quality lead-containing raw materials. KIVTSET-installations operate in Canada, Italy, China, annually smelting a tenth ( 420 thousand tons ) of metal from world production of primary lead.
