Kazakh National University al-Farabi, the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the specialty of information security systems took place

April 29, 2024 at the Kazakh National University. al-Farabi, the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the specialty of information security systems took place.

The Olympiad gave participants the opportunity to test their skills in one of the most popular areas of information technology and realize their creative abilities and reveal their professional and personal potential.

The main goals and objectives of the Olympiad were to stimulate educational, cognitive and educational and research activities of students, select and support the most talented and gifted students; formation of an active professional attitude towards improving the education system, creating conditions for self-realization and self-affirmation.

Students of the Kazakh National University named after. al-Farabi, Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov, Kazakh National Research Technical University named after. K.I. Satpayev, Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Olympics took place in three stages, including:

• testing on basic knowledge of information security;

• practical task on building a network topology in the Cisco packet tracer program;

• theoretical assignment on solving problems in cryptology.

Based on the results of three stages of the Olympiad, the winners were determined:

The winners were awarded diplomas and special prizes; participants who did not become winners of the Olympiad - certificates of participation.

The event allowed students of Kazakhstani universities to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, and also served as a platform for self-realization, exchange of experience and ideas among young people.
