On May 2, 2024, the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law hosted a scientific seminar on "Protection of labor rights and ensuring safe working conditions for all employees", held within the framework of SDG 8 (8.8 To protect labor rights and promote reliable and safe working conditions for all workers, including migrant workers, especially migrant women and people without stable employment).  The speaker of the scientific seminar was a first-year undergraduate Baimukhanova D.M. under the guidance of PhD, associate professor Nurakhmetova G.G.

The workshop brought together representatives from various sectors of society to discuss current challenges and develop practical solutions.

The main problems related to insufficient protection of labor rights and unsafe working conditions were discussed. The main challenges faced by migrants in the labor market are considered. Practical strategies are proposed to improve the protection of migrants' rights. Research and initiatives to support migrant women are presented. The factors contributing to the instability of employment are analyzed. Measures are proposed to ensure job stability for all categories of employees.

During the discussion, the seminar participants put forward a number of recommendations, including the need to improve legislation, raise awareness and education, as well as actively involve all stakeholders in the process of protecting labor rights. These recommendations will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for further consideration and implementation.

The scientific seminar was successful and productive, allowing participants to discuss current problems and develop specific solutions. We hope that the results of this workshop will become a starting point for further efforts to protect labor rights and ensure safe working conditions for all.
