XVI Republican subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the educational program "Biotechnology"

From April 29 to 30, 2024, the Republican subject Olympiad in the educational program "Biotechnology" was held in Pavlodar. The Olympiad consisted of 2 rounds.

The first round of the Olympiad included test tasks on the subjects of "Biochemistry," "Genetics," "Biotechnological processes and apparatus," "Fundamentals of biotechnology," and "Microbiology." Situational tasks were given in the second part of the first round.

The second round of the Olympiad included practical tasks on the disciplines of "Microbiology," "Cell biotechnology," and "Molecular biotechnology."

The Olympiad was attended by students of the 4th year of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Kazakh National University:

Kazebekova Zhadira,

Shaualieva Kenzhegul.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the first place was taken by the student of the 4th year of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of Kazakh National University, Kazebekova Zhadira. The team of Kazakh National University also took first place in the team standings. The winners were awarded special diplomas and certificates, and the group leader, PhD, senior lecturer Doktyrbai Gulina, was awarded a letter of appreciation.

The winners of the Olympiad were congratulated by the dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Kurmanbaeva Meruert Sakenovna, and the head of the Department of Biotechnology, Kistaubaeva Aida Serikovna.
