At the 14th Asian Tourism Forum, held on May 8, delegates, including representatives Al-Farabi of the Kazakh National University, got acquainted with the infrastructure of the Polytechnic University of Tourism in Palembang. This university is known for its specialization in training personnel for the hospitality industry.

As part of the tour of the university, participants visited several specialized classrooms equipped with modern equipment for practical classes. One of these classrooms was designed as a standard room in a three- to five-star hotel, where students learn the rules of service and maintaining quality standards of hotel services. In it, students will learn how to properly make beds and care for their rooms in accordance with international standards.

Another classroom has been set up as a restaurant and kitchen, allowing students to practice cooking skills and learn service techniques. Students here learn the basics of cooking and serving, developing the ability to serve visitors well.

This practical approach to learning allows future hospitality professionals to gain the necessary skills and confidence in their knowledge and abilities, which is key to a successful career in this fast-growing industry.

This event implements the SDGs4 - quality education; SDG 8 - decent work and economic growth; SDG 17 - partnerships for sustainable development.
