In Al-Farabi KazNU a meeting of the university administration with representatives of the corporation “Xinjian Sanbao” headed by Deputy Party Yang Yining, who visited the leading university of the country with a working visit, took place.
Welcoming the honored guests, Yerkin Duisenov, Member of the Management Board - Vice-Rector for Operations, told about the experience of scientific and educational interaction with universities, institutes, organizations of the People's Republic of China in various fields.
KazNU maintains relations with 57 higher education institutions and organizations in the PRC, including: Shanghai Foreign Languages University, Shanghai University of Politics and Law, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnic University, Lanzhou University, Shenzhen University, Peking University and many others.
In 2023, a branch of Northwest Polytechnic University (NWPU) of the People's Republic of China was opened, which currently has 3 educational programs: “Electronics and Communication Technology”, “Materials Science and Engineering”, “Computer Science and Technology”.
“Together with Chinese partners, KazNU has opened the Earth Remote Sensing Center. With the Alliance of New Silk Road Universities, which unites more than 130 universities from different countries, work is underway on the project of creating an innovative IT technopark, - emphasized the vice-rector. - The direction of academic mobility of students and faculty is actively developing, academic and research works are being carried out. The space for the development of cooperation is large. We are always open for new initiatives and joint projects.
In turn, Deputy Secretary of the Party and Director of the State Hospital of the district, Senior Resident Yan Inin thanked for the hospitality, familiarization with the university campus. He expressed confidence that the meeting would serve as a stimulus for further development of mutually beneficial, fruitful cooperation between the parties.
The meeting ended with a discussion on the development of cooperation and implementation of joint projects in the field of science and education.
