The head of the Department of Theoretical and Nuclear Physics of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Medeu Abishev, gave an interview to the newspaper "AIQYN" about the importance of nuclear power plants for Kazakhstan.
One of the main problems with NPP construction is radioactive waste. M. Abishev argued, as his main point, that new technologies are currently being developed, allowing for the reuse of waste as fuel. He also highlighted the high level of professionalism, as well as the number and quality of specialists in the country.
