INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE
"COUNTERING EXTREMISM AND TERRORISM: NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE"
On September 27, 2024, the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Yesbulatov hosted the conference "Countering Extremism and Terrorism: National and International Experience" as part of SDG 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development."
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kazakhstan, the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan, the Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan, UNODC, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, as well as PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, K.R. Useinova.
The study of international practices also assists Kazakhstan in developing effective measures:
Integration programs: In European countries like Germany and Norway, the focus is on integrating migrants and supporting their social initiatives, which helps reduce radicalization and strengthen social cohesion.
Use of technology: In the USA and other countries, modern technologies are actively used to monitor and analyze extremist threats.
International cooperation: International interaction plays an important role, including information exchange and joint operations. Kazakhstan actively participates in such initiatives, enhancing its capabilities in combating terrorism.
Countering extremism and terrorism is a multifaceted task that requires the combined efforts of the state and the international community. By utilizing both national and international experience, the Republic of Kazakhstan can effectively address modern challenges and ensure the safety of its citizens. Together, we can create a sustainable system capable of preventing the spread of radical ideologies and ensuring peaceful coexistence.
