The Far East Department within the framework of the SDG “Quality Education” held an open class
On October 17, Senior Lecturer S. Z. Ismailova conducted an open lesson with first-year students specializing in “Oriental Studies” on the subject “Basic Eastern Language,” focusing on the topic “Transport.” The goal of the lesson was to develop professional knowledge among students on the topic of “Transport” in the Korean language, as well as to cultivate general competencies related to types of transport and additional vocabulary relevant to the topic, thereby expanding their lexicon.
The lesson began with a motivational phase aimed at creating a favorable psychological atmosphere for students, encouraging a positive outcome for the lesson. Saule Zhusipbekovna employed techniques to activate cognitive activity, such as posing problem questions, using demonstration materials, and incorporating audio and video resources.
The lesson was divided into three stages: the first stage involved reading dialogues and revising previously covered vocabulary while introducing new lexical material. The instructor then explained grammatical structures in an accessible and detailed manner, completing exercises related to each grammatical structure. During the listening activity, students were required to choose the correct answers or identify incorrect options based on the content of the text.
The concluding stage of the lesson involved summarizing the covered topic and explaining the homework assignment. It is worth noting the positive attitude of the students at the beginning of the lesson, which had a beneficial effect on the entire educational process.
