On October 21, the 5th Eurasian Scientific School for Young Scholars "The Space of the Global Economy: Ideas, Strategies, Interaction" began – a major educational platform uniting talented researchers from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the CIS. For the first time, this year the school was held outside Russia at the co-organizing university, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (https://farabi.university/). Participants included young scholars from RUDN University (https://www.rudn.ru), Osh State University (https://www.oshsu.kg/ru), Balasagyn KNU (https://www.knu.kg/ky/ru/), International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan (https://iiau.uz/ru), BSU (https://bsu.by), KRSU (https://www.krsu.edu.kg), UNECON (https://unecon.ru), and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (https://farabi.university/).
In 2024, the scientific and practical school was timed to coincide with the beginning of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Commission and the "90th Anniversary of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi."
The program included video greetings from Doctor of Economics, Minister for Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC B.T. Sultanov, lectures from leading experts, and master classes with speakers such as K.N. Yelikbayev, Assistant to the Minister for Economy and Financial Policy, A.V. Batenova, Advisor to the Customs and Tariff Regulation Department of the EEC, V.G. Kazaryan, Director of the Customs and Non-Tariff Regulation Department of the EEC, and other invited speakers and company heads. A business simulation game "EEC Model" was also held, in which students replicated the work of the Commission. Participants also prepared and defended team projects for introducing national products or services to international markets.
As a result, students from Eurasian universities gained practical knowledge and skills in organizing and conducting foreign economic activities from leading experts, representatives of Russian and international companies, government bodies, and international organizations.
