An international scientific and practical conference titled “Ideological and Value Orientations of Youth in the Digital Age: Characteristics, Priorities, and Impact on Socialization” was held in Almaty, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the scientist, public figure, Doctor of Philosophy, and Professor Zeinabil Smailkhanuly Aidarbekov.

An international scientific and practical conference titled “Ideological and Value Orientations of Youth in the Digital Age: Characteristics, Priorities, and Impact on Socialization” was held in Almaty, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the scientist, public figure, Doctor of Philosophy, and Professor Zeinabil Smailkhanuly Aidarbekov.

The event was jointly organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Al-Farabi Center, the Kazakh Committee of the Philosophical Society of Turkic Peoples, and the Silk Road Universities Association.

The aim of the event is to shape the main worldview orientations of youth within the context of the transformation and dynamics of contemporary society.

The conference addressed the value crisis of contemporary civilization, its impact on Turkistan, and the conditions for overcoming it: sources, main consequences, and potential development horizons; the crisis of ideological orientations; and the study of youth in the modern world: worldview, methodology, practices. It also covered the global challenges of the 21st century, including the philosophical, cultural-historical, legal, and political issues of restructuring social development, as well as the digitalization of education and the directions for youth in the world of digital technologies.

A congratulatory message from Zhanseit Kanseituly Tuimebaev, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, was read at the event. “Your knowledge and expertise have been recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also at the international level. In particular, your work has been highly appreciated by universities in Moscow, Mongolia, and Beijing. It is well known that the scientific community of these countries’ educational institutions has awarded you the title of ‘Honorable Professor of Science,’ which reflects the significance of your outstanding contributions.”

“Your polite and cheerful demeanor, along with your ability to connect with people, has elevated you to great heights in life. In turn, this has contributed to your reputation as a respected individual known for your diligence and attention to detail in public organizations, the business community, and political and governmental services,” emphasized Zhanseit Kanseituly.

During the conference, congratulatory letters were received for the honoree from both distant and nearby foreign countries. Notable individuals who sent their best wishes included Salamat Idrisov, the Chairman of the Board-Rector of Atyrau University named after Khalel Dosmukhamedov and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences; Rashid Kayumov, Vice President of the International Association of Graduates of the All-Union Lenin Communist Youth Union Higher Komsomol School and a lawyer from the Russian Federation; Professor Kunbolat Sungatuly from Gansu University of Political Science and Law in the People’s Republic of China; and Jambalin Tsetsge, Doctor of Historical Sciences and First Pro-Rector of Ikh Zasag International University from Mongolia.

During the event, on behalf of the faculty staff, Bekzhan Meirbaev, the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, expressed his congratulations. “You have established yourself among the talented philosophers of Kazakhstan with your ideas and philosophical essence. Your academic journey has reached a significant milestone, marked by nearly 100 scientific articles and valuable monographic works. The research articles you produce continue to be published in the scientific community, adding prestige to the philosophical community of Kazakhstan. We view this as a testament to your commitment to science and teaching, as well as your great responsibility towards your work,” emphasized the faculty dean.

The conference was attended by prominent figures, including Omirali Jalairi, President of Konnayev University, Doctor of Law and Professor; Luchin Tursunov, Deputy Dean for Scientific Work and International Relations at Samarkand State University named after Sharaf Rashidov, PhD, and Associate Professor from Uzbekistan; Cholpon Saadanbekova, Candidate of Philosophy and Associate Professor at Jalalabad State University in Kyrgyzstan; Serik Nurmuratov, Doctor of Philosophy and Professor, Director of the Philosophy Center at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan; Venera Iztaeva, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan at Ablay Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages, Candidate of Political Science and Professor; and Zhomart Simtikov, Head of the Department of Political Science and Social-Philosophical Disciplines at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Doctor of Political Science and Professor, along with other distinguished scholars, public figures, and notable individuals.

It is worth noting that the honoree, Zeinabil Smailkhanuly, began his career in the construction industry, later went through a higher Komsomol school, and also engaged in entrepreneurship. He honorably served as the head of a department in the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Deputy Director of the Presidential Archives, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “Kazakh Encyclopedia.” After that, he became an advisor to the rector and university pro-rector, combining these roles with various public services. Today, he educates future philosophers at the esteemed university and guides them in their journey into science.

As part of the forum, a collection of scientific reports and research by scholars will be published.
