As part of achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, aimed at ensuring healthy lives and well-being, senior lecturers of the Department of Biotechnology of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, F.K. Sarsekeeva, A.A. Omirbekova, M.A. Abdulzhanova, and 1st-year doctoral student K.T. Nigmetova organized an event—a tour to the International Clinical Center of Reproductology PERSONA. The tour, held on December 4, 2024, was designed for 3rd and 4th-year students of the Biotechnology program. It included an introduction to advanced methods of reproductive medicine and discussions on preserving reproductive health and improving demographic trends.

The main goal of the event was to familiarize participants with modern technologies and approaches in reproductology, raise awareness about infertility diagnosis and treatment methods, and deepen understanding of the importance of reproductive health in the context of societal well-being.

During the event, the chief physician and director of the PERSONA center, Vyacheslav Notanovich Lokshin, delivered a welcoming speech. He spoke about the history and achievements of the institution and emphasized the role of reproductology in improving the quality of life.

The head of the embryology laboratory, Kamshat Timerkaliyevna Nigmetova, presented on "Modern Capabilities of Clinical Embryology and Genetics Laboratories." She discussed the features of modern laboratories offering advanced methods for diagnosing and treating infertility, including preimplantation genetic diagnosis. These laboratories are equipped with high-tech tools for working with reproductive cells and embryos, enhancing the effectiveness of in-vitro fertilization and minimizing genetic disease risks.

Doctors of the center shared successful infertility treatment cases, emphasizing the importance of personalized approaches and interdisciplinary collaboration. Specialists demonstrated the process of working with reproductive cells and explained cryopreservation principles. Students were able to ask questions and discuss career growth opportunities in reproductive medicine.
A clinic tour was organized, where participants visited the diagnostic department, in-vitro fertilization (IVF) laboratories, and procedure rooms. They were introduced to the latest medical technologies and equipment.
