Meeting with representatives of the Police Department of Zhetysu district of Almaty city

In the framework of implementation of SDG № 8, the Department of Civil Law and Civil Process, Labour Law of the Faculty of Law on December 6, 2024 organized a meeting for students of the Faculty of Law with the head of the department of educational and personnel work of the Police Department of Zhetysu district of Almaty, Lieutenant Colonel of Police Kalykbaeva Nazgul Zhakanovna.

During the meeting Lieutenant Colonel of Police told the students about the specifics of service in the internal affairs, focusing on the high social importance of the work of police officers. Special attention was paid to the order of employment in law enforcement agencies, stages of professional selection, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development of police officers.

Nazgul Zhakanovna emphasised the importance of compliance with the law in professional activities, noting that it is on the level of legal literacy and training of future specialists depends on the effectiveness of law and order system.
In addition, the speaker shared examples from personal practice, spoke about the challenges faced by police officers and the measures taken to improve their professional skills. Students actively asked questions related to the peculiarities of law enforcement practice and labour legislation, as well as internship opportunities in the internal affairs bodies.
