A lecture on the topic: "Similar Features of Kazakh and Karakalpak Folklore"

  Within the framework of SDG 4 "Quality Education", on February 12, 2025, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature organized a lecture on  topic: "Similarities between Kazakh and Karakalpak Folklore." The lecture was delivered  by a guest from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Full Professor of Adjiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute,  Sarsen Seyilbekovich Kazakbayev. At the beginning of the event, the head of the Department of Kazakh Literature and Theory of Literature, Doctor  of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Alua Berikbaykyzy Temirbolat introduced the guest and thanked him for his cooperation. Doctor  of Philological Sciences, Full Professor Zufar Nursapovich Seitzhanov, PhD, senior lecturer Serikbai Klyshbaevich Kosanov, PhD, Acting Associate Professor Gulnaz Rahimovna Dautova, senior lecturer Bakhytkozha Baygozhaevich Bayazitov attended the lecture.

During the lecture, Sarsen Seyilbekovich spoke in details  about the similarities between Kazakh and Karakalpak folklore, various versions of  "Koblandy Batyr" epic, folklore genres and their features, parallels in ritual folklore, the specifics of the art of aitys, as well as the features of the heroic epics of the Kazakh and Karakalpak peoples.

The 2nd year students majoring in  "6B02305 – Kazakh Philology" actively participated in the lecture. They  asked the guest questions and expressed their opinions. The event was organized by the  1st-year PhD  students of   "8D02304 – Literary Studies" major  Alma Kenzhekozhayeva, Marzhan Serikzhanova, Ayazhan Toibazar, Zhuldyz Manapbayeva, Talgat Turdali, Gulnazira Muzhigova, Ekpin Eldos. At the end of the lecture, the students and  the participants expressed their gratitude to Sarsen Seyilbekovich and summed up the results of the event.

Such  lectures deepen  students' theoretical knowledge and stimulate them to new scientific research.
