Attention was paid to eliminating the shortage of personnel
In his address, head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev outlined nine priorities that determine the qualitative development of the country in the future. As you know, the fifth of the nine directions is aimed at gradually increasing the personnel potential of the country. Providing the economy with qualified specialists is an urgent task. First of all, the address stressed the need to eliminate the acute shortage of personnel in water, energy, construction and other industries. It is also necessary to train qualified specialists for professions that will be in demand in the future. In this regard, Farabi University, which has firmly established its global position as a University of higher education and research, is now a fundamental educational institution that is leading in the discovery of new specialties that are in demand today. For example, the news of the opening of the specialty cryptology within the walls of the university was one of the most exciting events in the scientific community of the country.
In his address this year, the president said: "it is necessary to strengthen the ties of the best universities with the real sector. It is necessary to coordinate innovation policy with the scientific and technological priorities of the country. Such a step will give an impetus to innovation in every area. It will also increase the potential of Applied Science in higher education institutions." In this context, we note that one of the events that deserves to be called a historical innovation in the country's innovation policy is the installation of a supercomputer – a global technology universe-at Farabi University, which was received with great pleasure by the scientific community of our university.
It is very desirable that the head of state pays special attention to the safety of children. It is no secret that now the internet is becoming a platform for the dissemination of various flows of uncontrolled or purposefully destructive information on social networks. Therefore, the burden of responsibility for teachers of the Faculty of journalism is huge. There is every reason to believe that 27 educational programs implemented on the basis of the Faculty of journalism today are educational programs that promote good values in the information space of the country.
The head of state warmly announced the creation of the National Center for artificial intelligence in Astana. It is known that artificial intelligence is also being massively introduced today in the field of education and science. The opening of the Department of artificial intelligence at the Faculty of Information Technology of Farabi University a few years ago also made it possible to thoroughly study and study this area. In this regard, we intend to fully study the work in this direction and in the future open an educational program of artificial intelligence in journalism at the Faculty of journalism.
