ON1 Prepare (edit, design) and issue publishing products taking into account standards, printing technologies, marketing
ON2 Implement the commodity policy and assortment of publishers based on BigData, domestic and foreign experience.
ON3 To systematize the main trends in the development of innovative technologies in publishing
ON4 Synthesize traditional and modern management methods in the work of editor-publisher.
ON5 Evaluate the quality of publishing products based on stylistic analysis of content, cost and relevance, through art criticism and peer review.
ON6 Conduct sociological and book research of the readership, including through social networks.
ON7 Develop new publishing business models based on professional information, innovation and exchange of experience.
ON8 Apply modern proofreading and editing techniques based on basic knowledge of textual criticism and editorial processing of publications.
ON9 Carry out information, bibliographic and advertising support for publishing activities in the legal field.
ON10 Use the technologies of artistic and technical design of the book, taking into account the types of printing and consumables.
ON11 Classify publishing concepts by critically analyzing the progress of publishing transformation in Kazakhstan and abroad.

ON13 Creatively use in professional activities basic knowledge in the field of philosophy, logic, cultural studies, ethics, aesthetics in the context of modernity.

Analysis and monitoring of the labor market showed a stable need for specialists capable of preparing and issuing publishing products (books, periodicals, bulletins, almanacs, etc.). The share of published Kazakh literature is constantly growing. According to the ISBN Agency, 1813 publishing houses and publishing organizations are registered in Kazakhstan. Students at this ЕP have the opportunity to undergo practice and subsequently find employment both on the basis of the university publishing house "Қazaқ universitetі" and in the leading publishing and printing complexes of the country.
