Educational program

The purpose of the educational program is to prepare highly qualified PhD doctors with systemic knowledge and practical skills and techniques of independent research; capable of critical analysis, evaluation and generation of new ideas in the field of petrochemistry and oil refining. The program is aimed at the formation of a professional personality of a specialist capable of: - to interpret the basic principles of an integrated modern approach to the use of oil and petroleum raw materials. - to systematize and interpret the problems and tasks of scientific research, including the selection of methodologies necessary for research for further use in the performance of the thesis. - to implement an integrated approach to self-sustained research based on modern innovative technologies in the field of petrochemistry and petrochemical synthesis. - to assess the validity of the methods of conducting experiments used in scientific research, to carry out a reasoned scientific discussion, using the evidence base obtained as a result of theoretical and experimental training with the involvement of literary and patent sources of well-known researchers in the field of petrochemistry and oil refining.

Upon completion of this program, doctoral students are expected to be able to:
NO 1. To contribute to the theoretical aspects of complex processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and demonstrate the ability to create technological processes for processing of oil and petroleum raw materials and advanced processing of raw materials with the involvement of waste in secondary processing.
NO 2. To possess the basics of modern technologies of deep processing of hydrocarbons of oil, gas and coal, to use the appropriate hardware and technological equipment.
NO 3. To demonstrate a reasoned scientific discussion using the evidence base obtained as a result of theoretical and experimental training with the involvement of literary and patent sources of well-known researchers in the field of oil refining.

NO 5. Identify criteria for the effectiveness of the use of catalyst granules for specific processes. To assess the prospects of a large-scale transition to the conditions of industrial implementation of catalysts.
NO 6. To implement a comprehensive research process based on modern innovative technologies in the field of petrochemistry and petrochemical synthesis.
NO 7. Be competent in the formulation and solution of modern scientific and practical problems of organization and conduct of research and management activities in the field of petrochemistry and oil and gas processing.
