Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of literary criticism, folklore and rhetoric

ON1 To explain the patterns of historical, socio-economic development of Kazakhstan; conceptual and methodological apparatus of modern socio-humanitarian science; the essence and significance of information in the development of modern society, rules for compliance with information security; features of interaction with the outside world; political, social, cultural processes of today's society;
ON2 To know the history of the development of Kazakh and world literature; to explain the historical, social, economic and political factors affecting the consciousness and worldview of writers, the development of national and world literature.
ON3 To substantiate and analyze the prerequisites, origins and causes of the origin of literary and linguistic phenomena, their spread at a certain stage of historical, cultural and artistic processes, to know the stages of creating works of literature and the factors determining the evolution of the writer's worldview.
ON4 To compare works of art, highlighting their typological features, innovation and originality of writers.
ON5 To analyze the ideological and thematic content, plot-compositional, spatial-temporal, linguistic organization of works of literature and folklore, their figurative system and genre-style originality.
ON6 To understand and apply methods of analyzing works of art, literature and folklore, to carry out a literary and critical review from the standpoint of their practical significance, educational significance.
ON7 To master the basic methods, techniques and means of obtaining, storing and processing information necessary for the study of the literary heritage of the past and present.
ON8 To work with scientific literature, archival documents necessary for comprehending the creative biography of the writer, analyzing works of fiction, teaching literature, folklore, rhetoric and language in educational institutions.
ON9 To collect, systematize and interpret information to make judgments about trends and patterns in the development of Russian and world literature and culture.
ON10 To apply theoretical knowledge of literary studies, folklore studies, linguistics and rhetoric in professional practice and in the process of preparing a thesis, implementing various forms of literary activity.
ON11 To evaluate and analyze the achievements, methods and techniques of modern literary criticism, folklore, rhetoric, linguistics and their significance for the comprehension of artistic creativity.
ON12 To develop methodological recommendations and articles for the study of works of art using modern information and communication technologies.
