Educational program

Provide training of highly qualified and competitive pharmacy specialists with sufficient knowledge and skills, able to absorb new knowledge objects in pharmacy, as well as generate new knowledge in the field of circulation of medicines and medical products to provide pharmaceutical care.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
1. Know and understand professional information in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices in the organization of work of various pharmaceutical organizations in the production, control, registration and distribution of goods and the provision of pharmaceutical assistance to the population and organizations using information and communication technologies.
2. Apply knowledge in advising patients and doctors on the provision of pharmaceutical care, rational use of drugs and medical devices, the conditions for their proper storage, the choice of dosage forms, the cost of a course of therapy; demonstrate the ability to conduct clinical and pharmaceutical documentation and pharmacoeconomic analysis, control of pharmacotherapy in compliance with the principles of the drug formulary in health care organizations.
3. Apply knowledge and understanding of the methods of planning, organizing and monitoring the functioning of subjects in the health care system, and the pharmaceutical industry to provide quality pharmaceutical assistance to the public and health care organizations, taking into account the requirements of regulatory documents and international good GxP practices.
4. To form judgments and interpret the main indicators of the organization, management and legal regulation of the subjects in the field of circulation of medicines and medical devices to provide timely and high-quality pharmaceutical assistance to the population and health care organizations.
5. To know and understand the regulation of the organization, management and implementation of drug supply, the formation and rational use of inventories of pharmaceutical organizations for wholesale and retail sales to the population and organizations, including their procurement, distribution, sale and storage; organization and implementation of information and analytical activities in the field of drug circulation using innovative communication tools.
6. Apply knowledge and form judgments on the forecast and planning of the main economic indicators and methods of their analysis, on the formation of pharmacy assortment products, sales forecasting and rationing of inventories and analysis of the main organizational and economic aspects of pharmaceutical organizations and enterprises, understanding the principles of taxation and lending to pharmacies and determine the results of financial and economic activities of the pharmacy organization, the application of the basics of modern accounting, an accountant who balance and accountability.
7. Apply knowledge and understanding of the process of manufacturing and production of medicines and medical devices: analysis and forecast of the main economic indicators of pharmaceutical production in accordance with the requirements of the GMP standard.
8. Apply knowledge and understanding of quality control of pharmaceutical substances, reference materials, auxiliary substances and materials, medicinal plant materials, as well as medicines and medical devices at all stages of collection, storage and technological process in accordance with current legislation and good GxP pharmaceutical practices.
9. Apply knowledge and understand the conduct of chemical-toxicological examination of objects in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to form judgments when issuing the results of the examination.
10. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards of professional responsibility and honesty; observe ethical principles in all professional interactions with patients, families, colleagues and society as a whole, regardless of ethnic characteristics, culture, gender, economic status or sexual orientation. Apply knowledge of the principles and methods of shaping a healthy lifestyle of a person and family, a complex of factors that determine health and disease for the purpose of prevention.
11. To show communication skills and skills, focus on personal growth and continuously improve professional knowledge and skills, as well as participate in research aimed at promoting knowledge of human health and improving the quality of life.
12. Demonstrate the formation of judgments and the skills of conducting scientific research, the desire to transfer knowledge to others.
