Educational program

The purpose of the program is to train scientific and pedagogical personnel in the field of Kazakhstani jurisprudence, German and international commercial law, who have fundamental knowledge in the field of civil and business law, professional competencies that meet the needs of civil law support for a market economy, employers and the sphere of international legal regulation of economic relations.

Upon completion of this program, undergraduates are expected to be able to:
ON 1 Тo form and justify the reasons that slow down the process of formation of the rule of law in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to organize scientific research using the provisions of the rule of law, to demonstrate readiness for fruitful research and teaching activities;
ON 2 Тo demonstrate the knowledge gained in the study of the features of the historical formation of statehood and the formation of the legal culture of the CIS and European countries, to justify the materials of legal and other social practices, to analyze the specific political and legal doctrines of Kazakhstan and Europe, the philosophical problems of the origin and historical evolution of science, as well as the main legal systems of our time;
ON 3 Apply the norms of national and international law in the field of commercial and corporate law in resolving disputes that exist in various legal orders, formulate and solve problems that arise in the course of practical and research activities using modern methods and technologies of legal analysis;
ON 4 Тo design the development and improvement of the current civil and civil procedure legislation;
ON 5 Тo evaluate the results of comparative legal analysis in the research of international legal and European legal institutions and phenomena and to develop ways to improve the theory and practice of law, psychological and pedagogical education of participants of educational relations, legal culture, public administration and public service of Kazakhstan in the CIS and Europe;
ON 6 Critically assess the state policy in the field of regulation of civil law relations, entrepreneurial activity, in the field of civil law; evaluate situations of law enforcement practice of exercising and protecting property rights and develop various solutions;
ON 7 Systematically understand and evaluate the global trends and dynamics of international economic relations, their theoretical and practical problems;
ON 8. Understand the mechanisms and factors of development of contract and commercial law in Germany and other European countries;
ON 9 Systemically understand the main directions of improvement of the constitutional and administrative legislation of Germany and Europe;
ON 10 Тo interpret and rank the stages of international economic integration, to determine the parameters of the influence of legal regulation on this process;
ON 11 Identify promising directions for the development of legal regulation of economic relations of Kazakhstan with foreign countries in order to integrate Kazakhstan into the international community;
ON 12 Тo contribute to the legal science through original research of the main conceptual provisions of comparative international law.

Employment

In the educational program of both universities, Kazakh and German undergraduates will be given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the legal and economic systems of each country, gain basic knowledge of civil and business law of Kazakhstan and Germany, develop and deepen their knowledge of a foreign language, consolidate their knowledge by passing exams and obtain a Master's degree on the basis of the relevant legislation of each country. Undergraduates who have successfully completed educational programs will receive two diplomas after completing their studies: Al-Farabi Kazakh National University – Master's degree in Law (scientific and pedagogical direction), specialty "7M04218 Jurisprudence"; University of Wismar (Germany) – German Master of Law degree (Master of Law, L.L.M) in the specialty "German and International Commercial Law", recognized in the European Union. Advantages of training: a combination of resources and competencies of two universities; the opportunity for undergraduates to practice in Germany (knowledge of German is a priority); obtaining two diplomas from universities in Kazakhstan and Germany; professional prospects for working in international law and audit firms, as well as in companies, including joint Kazakhstan and Germany, EU and CIS countries. It also gives the right to engage in activities in all areas requiring legal and economic knowledge. Based on their knowledge of cross-border and international legal turnover, graduates will be able to work in a wide range of functions as a specialist and manager. The German Master of Law degree (Master of Law, L.L.M) in the specialty "German and International Commercial Law" makes it possible to apply for a permit to stay in Germany for up to 6 months to find a job. To obtain a permit, it is only necessary to prove the existence of means of subsistence. At the same time, it should be borne in mind that a residence permit for job search does not give the right to work during the specified period. In case of employment within 6 months for a job corresponding to the qualification of a Master of Law, the existing residence permit may be changed to a residence permit for work.
