Educational program

The goal of the educational program is quality training professionals with knowledge in areas of theory, methodology, organization and technology library and bibliographic work in libraries of various types given their informatization and modernization. Content training programs aimed at shaping library and reference skills bibliographic service; work with library collections, catalogs and other elements of reference bibliographic apparatus; introduction and use of technical and automated search tools, processing and dissemination of information.

1. Analysis of modern problems of information technology in librarianship and development of proposals for their solution
2. Apply basic techniques and methods of information and communication technologies to search and process information when working with information resources and library services
3. Defining common rational links between the library and the fundamentals of information science
4. Mastering the features of working with global databases that affect the development of science and technology, and improving the technology of presenting them to readers
5. Mastering the procedure for working with information databases with open and limited access and explaining their rights and norms
6. Identify trends in the development of artificial intelligence and methods of using artificial intelligence in librarianship
7. Development and organization of scientific research programs and projects in the field of library management and the application of project activities in this area
8. To organize the experimental research work of a master’s student, contributing to the development of a favorable educational environment for the realization of the language needs of students, building professional relationships with colleagues, using knowledge of management psychology and management in professional activities
9. Training of the elite of information and library institutions who know the theory and practice of strategic, tactical and operational management of the organization, individual fields of activity, structural divisions, personnel in the field of professional activity
10. Conducting research and research and developing strategic development programs in cultural institutions, departments of the Department of culture in order to hold scientific seminars, conferences, round tables, discussion clubs, meetings in libraries and information centers.
