Цель: to form professional competencies of high-quality specialist training for research institutions and industrial enterprises. These specialists are involved in the creation of instruments and equipment, in the development of new procedures based on interdisciplinary knowledge, in research aimed at obtaining new information to solve new problems. The implementation of the educational program is aimed to form the personality of a specialist capable to: solve professional problems in the field of biological engineering, based on knowledge of the structure of basic biological macromolecules, biotechnological processes; use the basic concepts of probability and statistics; statistical methods and probability distribution schemes associated with bioengineering data; develop promising and innovative biomedical technologies aimed at creating diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic medical and veterinary drugs; use basic image processing technologies, design and analyze diagnostic and visualized measuring systems; build a personal educational trajectory

1. Participate in the developing of promising and innovative biomedical technologies to create diagnostic, preventive, antherapeutic medical and veterinary drugs.
2. Use programming, statistics and graphs to provide skills in modeling, modification and testing of known biomedical systems and behavior devices.
3. Develop and apply methods of genetic engineering and biotechnology for food production through the creation of highly productive transgenic strains, plant varieties and breeds of farm animals.
4. Obtain, process and evaluate the properties of biomedical materials from bio-nanocomposites, including tissue engineering methods.
5. Design biomaterials and bio-devices using the methods and principles of biomedical imaging and biomechanics.
6. Master standard DNA working methods and general methods of DNA sequence cloning.
7. Use methods for determining, describing, identifying plants and animals (including forest objects, breeding animals).
8. Develop methods, instructions and recommendations for organizing, monitoring the technological processes of production to ensure the safety of the production cycle and finished products.
9. Provide consultations on environmental protection and protection from various environmental problems (corrosion, biological methods of remediation of contaminated objects, wastewater treatment, etc.) for specialists in operation, maintenance and engineering support.
10. Carry out engineering support for biotechnological production, select selection criteria and quality assessment methods necessary for the production of a specific target product.
11. Operate with basic information methods for processing experimental data, use them to effectively perform professional tasks and in human activities in the financial market.
12. Master the philosophical knowledge necessary for the analysis of modern political processes and apply theoretical knowledge in practical activities

The key potential employers of graduates of the educational program “Biological Engineering” are research institutes, scientific laboratories at scientific and medical centers and research and production enterprises, agro-industrial companies, pharmaceutical companies and design bureaus for the development of medical equipment. The main activities of the employee are: - planning and conducting experiments and tests in the field of biological engineering and related disciplines in order to get new information, test hypotheses, solve problems in areas such as medicine, pharmacology, environment, agriculture; - analysis of scientific and technical information in the field of biological science and related disciplines for the purpose of scientific, patent and marketing support of the received products and developments; - participation in food production by creating highly productive transgenic strains, plant species and breeds of farm animals using genetic engineering methods; - participation in the development of promising and innovative biomedical technologies aimed at the creation of diagnostic, preventive and medical and veterinary drugs; - assessment and analysis of the parameters of the effectiveness of the use of bioengineering and biotechnological methods of the environment based on the data of the monitoring and control system; - conducting research in the development of various medical products: implants, medical instruments, endoprostheses, artificial joints, pacemakers, bioengineered skin prostheses, artificial blood circulation devices.
