Academic Mobility

Every year, more than 1,200 students (bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies) study, undergo scientific internships and conduct research with foreign scientific supervisors in foreign educational and scientific institutions both within the framework of inter-university agreements and international educational programs, competitions and international scientific, practical and theoretical conferences, seminars, forums, and symposiums etc.

"SEMESTER ABROAD" ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM FUNDED BY MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

General information about the program

Academic mobility program provides an opportunity for students to spend a semester abroad. The ministerial grant covers the cost of round-trip air travel, accommodation expences for 105 days, health insurance and visa costs.

Requirements for applicants

- Undegraduate students should be in their 1-3d year, (students studying on the basis of state educational grant)

- Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan

- High academic performance (average score above 3.5)

- Fluency in a foreign language, confirmed by a certificate (upper-intermediate and higher)

- To pass a competitive selection at the faculty

ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM - SELF-SUPPORT

Under the agreements signed with partner universities, students can study at their own expense for one academic semester at a partner university.

Who can participate:

- Undergraduate students - 2 to 3 years
- undergraduates - 1st year
- doctoral students - 1st-2nd year
*GPA no lower than 3.1.

Financial conditions:

- Training is free of charge, see the list of partner universities here
- The costs are covered by the participants themselves, including accommodation, travel expenses, visa and health insurance

Documents needed:

- A copy of passport
- a transcript in Russian and English, certified by the university's official stamp
- Certificate of language proficiency not lower than B2 (depending on the language of instruction in the partner university)
- FTI (individual study plan) (ask at the department)
- photo - 3x4, 2 pcs
