The construction of new buildings of the university's natural science faculties, a new scientific library, and a swimming pool is at the final stage. A city within a city

Kazakh National University consists of 14 faculties, a college, an Institute for Advanced Training, 20 research institutes and research centers, and a Technopark. The university has a Kazakh-Indian Information Technology Center, a Chinese Language Center, a European Documentation Center, a NATO Center, an American Center, and a Center for Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication.

Library, network of reading rooms

The library has a collection of about 2 million copies, which is updated annually with new editions in the amount of 40-45 thousand copies. There are 20 thousand readers in the library, these are not only students, but also faculty, researchers, teaching and support staff. The library has an electronic catalog, which has been maintained since 1992 and is available on the Internet, 2 databases of textual information of legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a card file "History of Kazakhstan", an automated bibliographic card file of scientific works of the university faculty and an electronic card file "Book provision of the educational process", which is presented on the university network. The 300-seat Youth Internet Center is open from early morning to late evening, provides all modern Internet services, and a wireless WI-FI network operates throughout Kazgugrad.

The Palace of Students

The only Palace of Students in the republic named after him is designed to reveal the creative potential of young people. Dzholdasbekova. The children study music in the orchestra of Kazakh folk instruments, hone their talents in amateur art circles, the student theater "We". Nonresident students are provided with a dormitory (Student House). KazNU has 14 dormitories, and all are distinguished by comfort, safety and all conditions for living (shower, kitchen, recreation room, gym, Internet points, telephone connection).Hot food cafeterias are open on the territory of Kazgugrad from 08:00 to 22:00. The KazNU Student Cinema, located in Kazgugrad, shows new films and world premieres on a weekly basis.

The campus of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University consists of administrative and academic buildings, as well as student houses located in Almaty. The University campus provides the following services:

- Foreign citizens accepted to study at KazNU under interstate agreements (contracts), on a common basis with Kazakhstani students studying at kaznu, monitor the placement of students in the houses of the campus.

- Coordinates the activities of the student council, heads of student organizations, floors (blocks), organizes work on self-service of student houses.Attracts those who live (voluntarily) to perform socially useful work in student houses and in the surrounding area, the administration of student houses organizes control over the safety of material assets assigned to the resident, organizes cultural and mass work.

- To coordinate the work in all student houses, kaznu organizes cooperation with student organizations in student houses. Tracks their activities.

- Kaznu, through student organizations, manages the solution of issues of improving housing and communal services for the population, organizing educational work and leisure, arranging and decorating premises for independent work. Controls the careful attitude to the premises, equipment and property of student houses, economical consumption of electricity, water, maintaining cleanliness in residential premises and common areas, daily cleaning in their living rooms (blocks).

- Together with student organizations, organizes strict inspection and control in student homes, prohibiting them from being in a state of alcohol, drugs or intoxication.

- In order to prevent and prevent offenses, protect the rights and interests of students from illegal actions between students, kaznu forms and directs law enforcement detachments, student organizations directly subordinate to the management of the campus.

- Helps the internal affairs bodies in the fight against hooliganism, alcoholism, drug addiction, theft of property, blackmail, sanitation and hygiene, management discipline and other offenses and takes joint measures.

- Organizes informing the campus administration about violations of public order, as well as analyzes the criminal situation and submits its proposals on the measures taken to eliminate the circumstances contributing to the offense and restore order. Cooperates with the heads of faculties.
