The UNIVER information and software complex is a system for administering and managing the educational activities of a university, covering the entire cycle of the educational process:
Management of the admissions committee and analysis of student enrollment.
Management of educational activities.
Management and organization of electronic document flow throughout the technological cycle of the educational process.
Management and monitoring of the organization of a database of electronic educational and methodological materials for each discipline.
Organization of a statistical analysis and reporting system.
Logins and passwords for university employees are issued by specialists of the Support Department of the IT Infrastructure Development Department, only after the issuance of an employment order. To obtain a login and password from the Univer IS, an employee must:
Write an Application in any form, indicating the required access (student department, methodological department, registrar office, methodologist, educational department, testing department, etc.), for faculty members (Teaching staff), you must additionally specify the faculty , department; · Formed Application must be sent by e-mail: it@kaznu.kz;
· Further, the application is processed within 60 minutes and a response message is sent to the e-mail from which the application was sent. Or employees of the teaching staff of the university can take the login and password from the methodologist at the faculty. The methodologist of the faculty ensures the transfer of logins and passwords of the teaching staff.
Students receive a password and login from their direct curator-advisor (the username and password are given to students by the curator-advisor).

Since 2008, Al-Farabi KazNU has been using the Moodle distance learning management system to organize distance and online learning.
The system is primarily focused on organizing interaction between the teacher and students. With Moodle, learners can access a wide range of course materials, assignments and tests, as well as communicate with their teachers and colleagues. Thanks to a flexible course management system, students can freely plan their study time and receive instant feedback from teachers.
2. List of online courses of KazNU named after al-Farabi
Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a leader among Kazakhstani universities in implementing MOOCs.
Since 2015, the Distance Education Center of Al-Farabi KazNU, in collaboration with the faculty, has been working on the creation of MOOCs. Currently, their own MOOC platform based on the Open edX system is operational at http://open.kaznu.kz.
On October 1, 2015, the first open courses were launched by leading professors of Al-Farabi KazNU.
