28 november, 2025

The Psychological Support Service of Al-Farabi KazNU and the Scientific-Practical Center “Inclusive Environment,” within the framework of SDG-4 “Quality Education,” organized a training seminar titled “Family Values” for KazNU students.

The main aim of the event was to emphasize the importance of family values for young people, promote responsible interpersonal relationships, and help students develop conscious and harmonious life principles.

Family values include mutual respect, love, understanding, and support among family members, as well as the warm bond between parents and children, stability, care, responsibility, and the moral-spiritual principles that form the foundation of upbringing. These values play an essential role in shaping one’s personality, emotional well-being, and social development.

During the training seminar, speakers provided students with useful information on improving family relationships, resolving conflicts constructively, and creating a safe and supportive family environment. Practical exercises were also offered to enhance students’ understanding.

Students actively participated in the discussion and shared their thoughts on the concept of family. They noted that for them, family means trust, support, kindness, responsibility, unity, and the foundation of upbringing. They also emphasized that preserving and strengthening family values is especially important for today’s youth, as it significantly influences one’s future professional, social, and personal development.

The seminar had a positive impact on the students’ emotional well-being, encouraging them to re-evaluate their family relationships and apply the learned values in their daily lives.
