On December 9, 2025, at 15:00, an open educational session titled “The Social, Economic, and Family Consequences of Drug Addiction” was held in Room 501 of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by 2nd-year students of the “Industrial Electronics and Control Systems” program. The responsible curator was A.A. The main goal of the session was to provide comprehensive information about types of drug addiction, its harmful impact on human health, and its social and economic consequences. The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of these issues while promoting awareness about healthy lifestyles, personal responsibility, and respect for one’s health.
Through group activities, students analyzed various scenarios, improving their critical thinking, reasoning, and decision-making skills.
The session aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education.
