At the Faculty of Pre-University Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the autumn semester traditionally ended with a concert by foreign students. As part of the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 – Quality Education, teachers and students summarize their studies, and the students demonstrate how they have mastered the grammar of the Russian language, how they have learned to speak, sing, and recite poetry in Russian. Such concerts are very important and necessary for our foreign students, many of whom are very talented young people. By revealing their talents, they open up to a completely different side of themselves – the “artists” become recognizable among all the students of the faculty and even the university. These students become an asset to the faculty, and they can be entrusted with important tasks, such as becoming ambassadors of our faculty and Al-Farabi University in their home countries. That is, when they return to their homeland, they meet with schoolchildren and students of their home countries and tell them about Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Pre-University Education, and the Department of Language and General Education for Foreigners. This noble mission always bears fruit, and every year, the number of foreigners who want to study at our university increases. Of course, this is very encouraging for us, the teachers at the Faculty of Pre-University Education.
